In our range, there are several variants of height-adjustable kitchen worktops. What they have in common is open space under the coutop to provide legroom, ideal for wheelchair users or elderly individuals who need to sit on a stool while cooking and doing dishes.
Equipping the kitchen with an electric height-adjustable kitchen worktop provides the opportunity to quickly and easily adjust the height to accommodate standing work as well.
We have two model series of electric kitchen worktop, the Baselift and the Sidelift. Below you can read more about the features of each model.
The Baselift is a model available for both wall and floor installation. The wall-mounted Baselift is the most common choice, but if the wall doesn't provide sufficient stability for mounting, the floor-mounted version can be selected.
The Baselift is also available with two different front heights, 40 mm (Baselift 6300LA) and 103 mm (Baselift 6300HA). The lower front height is used for height-adjustable hobs or simple worktop space.
The higher front is more common as it allows for the integration of a sink and drawers.
The Baselift is available as both a straight worktop lift and a corner worktop lift. The choice between these models depends on how the kitchen is planned. A straight worktop lift is a more cost-effective solution, but a corner worktop lift might be the better option for closely situated work areas in the kitchen (sink, workspace, hob).
The Sidelift is a flexible worktop lift that can be tailored to the user's needs. The Sidelift can be equipped with suspended cabinets underneath the entire worktop. In this configuration, it serves as an ergonomically designed kitchen worktop with generous storage space that can be easily adjusted in height to accommodate users of different heights.
If circumstances change and there is a need to sit down in certain situations, the suspended cabinets can be easily removed to provide open space for legroom, for example, under the sink and hob.
Likewise, it's easy to reattach the cabinets when needed to regain more storage space.
The Sidelift has a lifting capacity of up to 400 kg. The motors are positioned at the edges of the worktop lift and are supported by the floor, resulting in a very stable construction.
There are many different types of kitchens that can be equipped with a height-adjustable kitchen worktop.
Here are some examples where we regularly see our worktop lifts:
Please note that rise and fall worktops and island cannot have gas hobs. This is due to health and safety risks and also the fact that it is not possible to install a gas hob with a flexible hose.
It should also be noted that it is not possible to place drawers underneath the hob due to the fire risk, so this is something you will need to take into consideration when planning your adapted kitchen storage options.
